Summer Adventures

Just added new pics to my blog. These are just a few places I've been this summer! Virginia has some of the most beautiful wineries, and I am lucky enough to live close enough to visit them often! Style activist and I stopped at Cross Keys Vineyards, which about 30 minutes south of Harrisonburg, Virginia. It is only 2 years old, but they have some award winning wines and the view is breathtaking!

Blue Mountain Brewery is in Afton Mountain, Virginia and they have some great pizzas, awesome beers, and local wines. The atmosphere is great, and it is fun when spent with some of your closest friends! Definitely worth making the trek down there!

This summer has been great, and there is definitely more to come! Keep following...

The First Stop

Upon choosing this first restaurant, I stopped at my favorite boutique for a dress. Being a fashionista, I must look stylish wherever I go, especially an upscale restaurant. The first stop brought style activist and I to Doylestown, PA.

Upon arriving at this restaurant, we were lucky to even get in without a reservation. While we waited, we visited the Wine Bar across the street, which offered a quaint environment with a great selection of wines from all around the world. After choosing nothing but a Riesling, there was much anticipation for the meal we were about to take pleasure in. As you walk in to Honey, it is quaint and serene. The service is beyond personable and makes the whole experience that much more exciting. The choice of cocktails is like nothing you've ever seen! Try the cucumber gimlet or the shiso fine! Each offer a refreshing, not too sweet taste unlike any cocktail you are familiar with.

The menu offers a selection of inventive, creative, and succulent dishes, in which choosing only a few can be quite difficult. It is a small plates restaurant so you are encouraged to order 3 or 4 dishes to share. Each dish that is brought out is sure to excited your palette. In almost every dish there is a sweet, salty, crunchy, and tangy aspect of the dish. The flavors separately would just be simple, but when melded together it is like your palette cannot even understand the joy you are putting it through...best word to describe it...foodgasm!

To New Beginnings!

At the beginning of this summer, I set out to find some new restaurants that offer a more creative take on food. As a person who is practically obsessed with all things food related, I could not wait to get started. After some of researching out some local places near Philadelphia, style activist and I made our list and calendar of places we would like to frequent. We looked up tapas restaurants, diners, sushi, and many others. The goal was to choose places that we wouldn't normally have the chance to go to. I want to use this blog to take you around these restaurants with me so you can experience these flavors with me as well! I may add in some shopping adventures as since they have become the highlight of my summer. I like to buy a new dress or outfit for each new restaurant I visit. I also enjoy cooking and will often give new recipes or new flavors that taste well together! I am excited to get started!
